Alice Marie-Thérèse Hamm was born in France and began making her mark at a young 12 years old, sewing for local men and women during WW II. At only 15 she moved to Paris to begin her formal design training and after 10 years of study and experience moved to Chicago, living with her aunt in the USA. She worked for many years as a designer in the Bridal and Pageant industries and finally in 1981 she opened her own Prom fashion house, and the iconic Alyce brand was born.
