Emmy’s Bridal in Minster, Ohio for Everything Bridal! Locally owned, Emmy’s has been proudly serving Ohio and Indiana Brides for over 45 years. Emmy’s specializes in a mix of Wedding Dresses unique to the West-Central Ohio region in their Auglaize County store. We carry popular bridal designers such as Allure, Mori Lee, Mori Lee Blu, and Jimme Huang Bridal, as well as our two exclusive collections, Lavish and Joyful that you can only find here at Emmy’s Bridal!

Extensive dress collections for Bridesmaids, Mothers and Flower Girls make it possible to outfit your entire wedding party in one convenient location. Accessories of all types, including veils, headpieces, jewelry, shoes and purses are on hand to complete any look. Prom and Homecoming dresses are available seasonally, too!

Where are you located?

Emmy’s Bridal has one location in Minster, OH. Our store is in Eagle Plaza, directly across St Rt 66 from the high school football field. Many customers travel easily from both nearby towns and across Ohio and Indiana for our fabulous selection and friendly hometown service.

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are required for all alteration services and preferred for bridal and mother’s dress shoppers so we can have a consultant available to give you the personal service you deserve. We also request you make an appointment to have your bridesmaids shop or be measured or to measure several members of your tuxedo party together.  Prom shoppers do not require an appointment.

How long do shopping appointments take?

Bridal shopping appointments are allotted 90 minutes on weekends and busy evenings. It is possible to be a little more flexible during daytime hours on weekdays. Let us know if you have a special time request, or visit our “make an appointment” page on this website. Bridesmaid groups are also given 90 minutes, and Mother’s dress shoppers are scheduled for 1 hour. Prom and homecoming shoppers do NOT require appointments.

Our Emmy’s stylists believe EVERYONE should feel beautiful and confident when shopping for life’s biggest events, whether they are petite or curvy. That is why we carry a full range of sizes for our customers.

What are the price range of your gowns and other items?

 When deciding what new dress styles to bring in for our local customers, Emmy’s buyers try to keep all price points and budgets in mind. We constantly work to maintain curated collections that have the best interests of those shopping at Emmy’s in mind. The price ranges below reflect our regular-priced merchandise. Sale merchandise is usually available in all departments for lower-priced value options.

Wedding Gowns  $950-$3000, average price of best sellers is $1600-$2000

Bridesmaid dresses  $150-$300

Mother’s dresses $199-$725, many options $350-$600

Tuxedo Rental from $160-$240

Prom dresses $199-$700

Homecoming dresses $80-$300

How many people can I bring with me to shop for my wedding dress?

You are welcome to bring as many guests as you choose on weekdays, however it is our experience that brides who arrive with a few of their most trusted advisors have the most relaxed shopping experience. 

On Saturdays and Sundays (when applicable), we ask that you limit your group to no more than 5 people total to help eliminate crowding and ensure all shoppers have a positive experience at Emmy’s. You can get the whole wedding party involved for a gown reveal appointment, followed by bridesmaids and or mother’s dress shopping!

How soon do I need to place my order for_______?

Order times vary by manufacturer and product type. The timelines below reflect our general guidelines for when to place a special order, along with our preferred timing for alterations.

Bridal: Place Special Order 10-12 months before Wedding Date.

Mother’s: Place Special Order 7-8 months before Wedding Date.

Bridesmaids: Place Special Order 9 months before Wedding Date.

Flower Girl: Place Special Order 4-5 months before Wedding Date.

Can I purchase a dress directly from the rack without special ordering?

YES! If you have an event that is approaching too quickly to allow time for a special order, we have items available for sale right off the rack for Brides, Moms, Prom, Homecoming, First Communion and Black-tie events. Single bridesmaid dresses are available, but whole groups for a larger wedding party are not in-stock. Emmy’s want to help every customer look their best regardless of how long they have to plan

You measured me for my dress, so will I need alterations?

An Emmy’s associate will measure you and discuss with you the size that is best for you to order. The majority of customers will require some alterations as the dresses are not custom made, and even the correct size will probably need some adjustment to achieve the desired fit.

Do I have to get my dress altered at Emmy’s if I purchase it there?

We are pleased to offer alterations to our Brides and Mother’s Dress customers; however, you are more than welcome to take your gown or dress to another seamstress if you wish.

Emmy’s no longer alters Bridesmaid, Prom, and Homecoming dresses. A referral list of local seamstresses is available upon request.

What should I bring to my alteration appointment?

You will need the shoes, bra (if needed; sew in bra cups are available for $15), and any special undergarments you plan to wear with your dress for the fitting to be accurate. Extra charges may result from fittings done without the proper accessory items.

How much will alterations cost?

Emmy’s charges by the work done, please ask for a quote at your fitting appointment.

The cost of alterations is never included in the price of the dress.

Do you give a discount for_______?

Our Diamond Bride Program helps all members of your wedding party enjoy some savings. Please see “Diamond Bride Program” in our main menu for a complete list of package savings plans.

How much of a deposit will I have to put down on my dress?

Emmy’s asks for a 60% deposit on all dress purchases for the order to be placed. If you prefer to pay in full, that is also an option. All merchandise must be paid in full before it leaves the store or alterations are started.  Deposits are not required for Tuxedo rentals.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Emmy’s accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We also accept tap to pay and Apple Pay.

When does my dress need to be paid off?

Your purchase needs to be paid off 30 days after it arrives in the store, or before alterations begin, whichever is sooner. All merchandise must be paid in full to leave the store.

Will I get my deposit back if the wedding is cancelled?

No, we cannot return merchandise to the manufacturers we order from; therefore we will have to pay for it and are unable to return deposits.  The only exception is if the wedding is cancelled before the order is placed with the manufacturer.

Several of my bridesmaids/groomsmen don’t live in the area. How can we get their dresses/tuxes ordered?

When you create your account with Emmy’s, you will provide us with the names of all party members. We prefer as many as possible to be measured here, but if necessary, your party member can be measured at a bridal or tuxedo store near where they live and call or e-mail us their measurements. They can mail us a check for the deposit amount or do a credit card transaction over the phone.

Tuxedos can be drop-shipped directly to wedding party members who live outside the area and would otherwise be unable to try on their tux or suit by 7:00 pm on the Wednesday before the wedding. Ask an Emmy’s associate for details for this convenient service

When will my order be placed?

Single orders are placed the next business day after the transaction. Bridal party orders are placed after all members have been measured and have paid their deposits.

I saw a gown from one of the companies you carry that I like but you don’t have it in the store. Can I still order it from you?

Emmy’s can order any gown from the manufacturers and divisions we represent, even if the sample is not in the store.  Please ask for more information about specific merchandise. All special orders are final sales.

Do I have to pick up my dress as soon as it comes in?

Emmy’s will store your purchase at no charge.
